From the mountains to the sea- you’ll experience the wonder of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the charms of the South on a 6 Night/ 7 Day trip to the Carolina’s! Our tour begins with a luxurious stay at the famous Gaylord Opryland resort in Nashville. Our stay hits all the high notes of Music City under one roof. From fine dining to 9 acres of lush indoor gardens and waterfalls, and unique entertainment, the Opryland resort promises to set the right tone for our trip! While in Nashville you have the option to relax at the resort and enjoy the amenities, or take in a show at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry. Country music stars take the stage each weekend inviting you to be apart of the live historical show. Music is rooted in the soul of Nashville and you won’t want to miss the chance to be apart of it! Then, it’s off to Asheville, North Carolina! This thriving mountain city features a funky and eclectic downtown, 30-plus art galleries downtown alone, a burgeoning culinary scene, a thriving live music scene and, of course, the awe-inspiring scenery of the Appalachian Mountains. Asheville's historic and architecturally diverse downtown remains beautifully preserved. Voted in the top 50 places to travel in 2020 by Travel and Leisure, Asheville is famously home to The Biltmore, brewhouses, and the Blue Ridge Mountains. While during our stay in North Carolina, we will experience them all! We will start with a visit to powerhouse brewery, Sierra Nevada. Asheville has more breweries per capita than any other city in the U.S, and our group will spend time exploring, learning and tasting local craft beers with experts in the brewery industry. We’ll continue our tour with a city comedy tour while learning about Asheville’s history, discovering hidden gems, and laughing all along the way! Halfway through the journey the bus makes a pit stop at Green Man Brewery where you’ll have the chance to stretch your legs and sample another local beer. And of course, no trip to Asheville would be complete without a visit to the jaw-dropping Biltmore, America’s largest privately-owned home. This 250-room chateau is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and provides an inside look into the lives of the upper class of the early 1900s. The estate is also home to the country’s most-visited winery, several shops and restaurants and a robust variety of recreational experiences. Dinner tonight is included on the grounds of Biltmore Estate for a unique and delicious experience. Our next destination is the charming Charleston, South Carolina, where we will spend two nights uncovering history, strolling the sidewalks of City Market and King Street, and delight in the comforts and hospitality of the South. Charleston is often called the “Holy City” due to the number of steeples that dot the low rise skyline, and it is bursting with little treasures that make a big statement! While in Charleston we will tour the USS Yorktown, where you will walk in the steps of heroes by getting a behind the scenes tour featuring exclusive access to an original B-25 Mitchell Bomber, a look at the day in a life of a sailor aboard the Yorktown, and more, all while gaining a true understanding of why it is referred to as a floating city. Then, you’ll see the city by boat as you climb aboard the Carolina Belle to enjoy the beauty of the Charleston Harbor and learn the rich history of the Holy City. The captain will narrate history, sights, and facts about the Charleston Harbor as you pass locations critical to the United States History. And finally, get a “taste” of Charleston at our visit to the Charleston Tea Garden, the only tea garden in North America where you can see hundreds of thousands of tea bushes stretching out acre after acre. You'll learn more about tea both from a trolley guide as well as founder, Bill Hall, who narrates a portion of the tour over the bus sound system. See the greenhouse and see up close and personal just what it takes to bring new tea bushes into the world. Charleston is one of the most storied cities in the South and you’ll get to experience it firsthand! Our final night on tour is in the breathtaking city of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Tucked between the mountains of Southwest, TN and along the beautiful Tennessee River, Chattanooga is surrounded by stunning scenery. From the Mountains to the Sea and everything in between- the Carolina’s are calling!
