Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine, New Hampshire's White Mountains--BRAND NEW Fall Foliage in New England! 10/4/2018 8:30 am $2,195.00 (Double)
Be whisked away to New England on our all NEW Fall foliage itinerary. We have added ALL new destinations and attractions-- including breathtaking Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine! We will leave Little Rock and overnight in Kentucky before reaching our first destination—Ohio’s Amish Country! Here we will spend two nights enjoying an Amish farm, Amish buggy ride, and of course lots of Amish cooking, with our included Amish dinner! Then it’s off to New York –where our first stop is Niagara Falls for lunch and a boat ride on the Maid in the Mist! Feel the mist as you view Niagara Falls up close and personal! We’ll depart Niagara Falls and continue into the Mohawk Valley area of New York –where we get a good night’s rest. The next day we’re off for a full day of touring Vermont. There isn't a town in sight: what you see are forested hills punctuated by rolling pastures. We’ll pass Victorian-era homes on tree-lined street into Vermont’s southwest corner--- the southern terminus of the Green Mountain National Forest, dotted with lakes, threaded with trails and old forest roads, and plenty of New England fall color! We will stop at an Apple Orchard for an included lunch and to view the most spectacular scenery of Southern Vermont. Tonight we check into our hotel---located in a tiny New England town situated in the picturesque White Mountains. The White Mountains in New Hampshire, beckon travelers to explore their natural wonders and man-made attractions. Shops and restaurants cloaked in New England-style clapboard houses line the streets, but it’s the mountains stretching out behind those businesses that shape the illusion of having driven into a postcard. We will spend two amazing nights here where we will experience The Cog Railway, one of New England’s most historic and scenic mountain experiences. As the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway, “the Cog” has been carrying passengers to the summit of New England’s highest peak-- since 1869. Then…we will make our way to Bar harbor, Maine, for an exhilarating two night stay at an oceanfront resort. We will spend a half day exploring Acadia National Park! See granite cliffs side by side with sand and cobblestone beaches. Glacier-carved mountains rise from the sea, cupping deep lakes in their valleys. Here, too, are meadows and marshes and dense evergreen forests. Everywhere the ocean makes its presence felt, whether by sight, sound, or smell. While in Bar Harbor, we’ll enjoy a lobster bake, a lighthouse harbor cruise and plenty of time to explore this quaint seaside town. We’ll enjoy our next two nights in Mystic, Connecticut. Here we will visit Mystic Seaport-- the nation's leading maritime museum--home to four National Historic Landmark vessels, including the Charles W. Morgan, the last wooden whaleship in the world. Mystic Seaport features a working preservation shipyard, a re-created 19th-century seafaring village, exhilarating exhibits, a planetarium, historic gardens, and more. You can even enjoy dinner at Mystic Pizza—a restaurant made famous by the Julia Roberts movie! We will leave Mystic –finally making our way south—and enjoy two “mystery” overnights on the way home, with more sightseeing along the way! Price includes: roundtrip luxury motorcoach transportation, 13 days/12 nights lodging, (2 nights in Mystic, 2 nights in Bar Harbor, 2 nights in the White Mountains, NH, 2 nights in Amish country Ohio), 17 meals, Mystic Seaport, Acadia National Park Tour, Lighthouse Harbor Cruise, Lobster Bake, The Cog Railway, Maid in the Mist Boat ride at Niagara Falls, Ohio Amish Farm and Buggy Ride, Vermont Apple Orchard Tour and Lunch, many more exciting inclusions, and all applicable taxes and fees.
