Best of all—we are in Calgary during the world famous and dazzling Calgary Stampede, which bills itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” Your tour includes tickets to this world famous show that will have you talking about it for years to come. As we make our way to Montana, we will overnight along the way, before visiting South Dakota for two nights. Here you will see the Black Hills of South Dakota and Custer State Park, famous for its bison herds, other wildlife, scenic drives, and historic sites. In fact, it was named as one of the World’s Top Ten Wildlife Destinations for the array of wildlife within the park's borders and for the unbelievable access visitors have to them. We will stay two nights in South Dakota before traveling into Montana as we make our way into Glacier National Park-- called the Crown of the Continent for a reason! We’ll spend two nights here around a land of mountain ranges carved by prehistoric ice rivers…featuring alpine meadows, deep forests, waterfalls, about 50 glistening glaciers and 200 sparkling lakes. The vistas seen from Going-To-The-Sun Road are breathtaking, a photographers paradise. Then we will make our way into Canada for a night at the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Evening Show, also known as the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. Calgary's national and international identity is tied to the event. It is known as the "Stampede City.” Get ready for a dazzling night of musical performances, fireworks, arts, and more. The captivating experience is unrivaled for variety and excitement! Then we will make our way to Jasper, Canada, for two nights traveling along the Icefields Parkway - a scenic drive that winds its way between Jasper and Lake Louise passing through the Columbia Icefield and providing stunning views of the Athabasca Glacier. But first we stop at Lake Louise. You have seen photos of Lake Louise but they haven’t prepared you for how it feels to experience it yourself. Rounding the corner, the sight of the emerald green water and rugged peaks and glaciers hits you viscerally. You’ve never seen anything so dramatically beautiful. As you wander around the lakeside path it seems like the whole scene is for just you to enjoy. It is a feeling you will remember forever. Then we will travel to the Icefields. Imagine a journey out onto the rugged icefields of an ancient glacier; the chance to experience the magnificence of such a powerful force of nature. The Icefields Parkway and the Athabasca Glacier are one of the Canadian Rockies’ most beautiful and fascinating sights. Our guided tour will give you the opportunity to have fun exploring and learning about this incredible natural environment. We will stop at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre, check out the stunning views and take a unique Glacier Adventure on a massive Ice Explorer! Then it’s onto Jasper National Park where we will cruise the glacial water of Maligne Lake. Declared the “Best Boat Cruise in Canada” by 8 million Reader’s Digest subscribers, the Maligne Lake Cruise is an experience like no other. Join us on a panoramic tour across the crystal waters of magical Maligne Lake, fed by the glaciers of Jasper National Park. Glide past the jagged mountain peaks as we cruise to Spirit Island, a world-famous destination only accessible by boat. We will leave Jasper and stop in Edmonton, a city known for it’s mall—the largest in North America—complete with an indoor lake! We’ll spend two more nights in Canada—including one night in quirky Moose Jaw—and visit the famous tunnels, now the strangest story in 20th-century Canadian history thanks to excavations under the streets. For more than 75 years, officials denied rumors of tunnels under this city, once one of the wildest frontier towns in the Canadian West. Now part of the network has been restored and is open to tourists. As we make our way back to Arkansas, we will overnight in two more American cities, including one in the heart of the North Dakota Prairie. Tour includes 14 nights lodging—6 nights in Canada (2 nights in Calgary, 2 nights in Jasper, 1 night in Lloydminster, 1 night in Moose Jaw) and 8 nights in the US, all motorcoach transportation, 18 meals, Maligne Lake Cruise, Lake Louise, Colombia Ice Fields Glacier Ice Explorer Experience, Tour of Glacier National Park, Calgary Stampede Grandstand Evening Show, Moose Jaw Tunnels, tour of Custer State Park, and much much more!
