About the Company
|Owners Gina and Cary Martin
National Tour Planning was founded in Little Rock out of customer demand and the success of Little Rock Tours. Little Rock Tours is a full service tour, travel, and transportation provider founded in 2002 by Cary and Gina Martin, two former TV news journalists. After planning tours and spouse programs in Little Rock for numerous conferences, customers began noticing the ease, organization, customer service, and superior quality of the tours provided and soon started asking the Martins to do the same for subsequent conferences in other cities across the country. The Martins quickly developed partnerships with NTA operators in major conference cities to ensure the quality of tours extended in
those cities, while providing the same customer service and organization model that was familiar to its existing customer base. The business has since been featured on numerous radio and television broadcasts, and in several local and national publications, including the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Arkansas Times, Group Travel Leader Magazine, and the Dallas Morning News. The company will soon be featured in Southern Living Magazine.
The company recently received the Top Tourister Award in 2004, honoring its contribution to travel and tourism. They are members of the Ark Transportation Authority, the Chamber of Commerce, the Pulaski Visitors Council, the Arkansas Hospitality Association, the Heart of Arkansas Association, and the National Tour Association (NTA), which maintains the highest set of standards a tour company must meet to obtain membership. The NTA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility is established to guide its members in their relationship to one another and in providing professional services to the traveling public.
The company has dedicated its resources to numerous charitable causes including education, Department of Human Services’ Christmas for Foster Children, and the Arkansas Cancer Research Center.
